Flickwick Studio Serious about stories.
Playful about everything else.

A studio shaped around the idea

Flickwick Studio is an animation studio for visual explanations, distinctive movement and imagined worlds. Our creative direction combines bold typography, warm colours and original illustrated forms. It is a starting point for stories that can be playful without losing their purpose, and expressive without making the message harder to follow.

The studio’s services span explainer video production, motion graphics, 2D animation, 3D animation and SaaS explainer videos. These disciplines share a belief that a visual decision should help the audience understand or feel something relevant. The right technique depends on the idea. It is not a competition to include the most animation in a single frame.

FROM THE STUDIO

Story first. Then the interesting detour.

A strong sequence begins with a clear question. Who is the story for, what do they need to know and why should they care? Once that foundation is in place, a surprising visual connection can make the message more memorable. A simple object might become a character; an interface might turn into a map; a difficult process might resolve into an understandable rhythm.

Originality also means working responsibly with references. We can discuss the pacing, colour or performance you admire without reproducing another studio’s design or a protected character. Real product information and factual claims need approval. Creative freedom is most useful when it has an honest relationship with the subject.

A collaborative way to develop the work

A typical project can include briefing, script development, storyboards, visual exploration, motion tests, production and delivery. Which stages are needed depends on the scope. Review points create opportunities to check both the communication and the visual approach before later decisions become more expensive to change.

Clients can help by naming decision-makers, sharing available assets and consolidating feedback. In return, the project plan should make deliverables, assumptions and revision scope understandable. Timing, licensing and technical requirements belong in that conversation. This is a description of a sensible working approach, not a promise about an unconfirmed production schedule.

Pick a path through the possibilities

Choose explainer videos for a focused narrative, or motion graphics for typography, diagrams and graphic relationships. Explore 2D animation for illustrated storytelling and 3D animation for spatial form, materials and perspective. SaaS explainers connect software workflows with an understandable product story.

You do not have to choose alone before making an enquiry. Tell us what needs explaining and where the work will appear. The project brief gives you a place to share the audience, message and constraints. Studio biography, team profiles and approved project history can be added when factual information is available; none has been invented for this introduction.
